Janie's 3 month appointment went wonderfully! Her A1C was 7.9%! I am thrilled with that and so are her doctors! Should I use more exclamation marks!? I think I should!!!!! :)
Read this post to understand the importance of this test.
7.9% is a great number for being only three months into diagnosis. She's grown 1/2" since her last check-up. Growth can be slowed by diabetes, so continuing along her normal growth pattern is awesome!
Mark ended up taking her. I gave him a print out of the spreadsheet and I set it up in Google Documents in case they wanted to view the embedded notes and my daily comments.
They met with a PA, she was very impressed with how we were tracking everything - loved the spreadsheet. They also met with our nurse/educator. She adjusted Janie's ICR for breakfast a little, studies were discussed and that was it. It was a great visit.
Her next appt is in September and I'm aiming for her to be at/below 7%.
Yay, Janie! You're doing awesome, baby!
