Swim Lessons - Daddy Style

Janie and Mark were off this very cold MLK day. We didn't do much... a couple loads of laundry, Mark ran some errands, the kids annoyed each other. A lot. 3:30 came around, so Mark took the kids to their swim lessons. They have *so much* more fun when they go with Daddy. I know this, and I'm ok with it.

Details: He let each child swim while the other was in their class (they sit next to me and we snuggle/talk/watch whoever's swimming). After both classes were over, they both got to swim for a while longer (when with me, we dash to the showers), then they went to the play area (nope - not with Mommy). When I take them, we're home by 5:30/5:45. Tonight, they got home around 7:45. They were worn out, but had an awesome time.

What'd I do while they were gone for almost 4 and half hours? Watched tv. Yep, that's pretty much it. I watched an episode of Super Nanny, two episodes of American Idol, part of a Jon and Kate + 8 episode and the beginning of another. I nibbled on a bowl of Doritos and Hershey Miniatures and drank Coke. It was complete and utter indulgence time for me. I had an awesome time, too.

Sounds like a great 4 hours if you ask me! :) I'm glad the kids had great daddy time, too.

I'm glad they are doing so well in swim lessons. I need to find somewhere around here to take my kids.
