Jacob seems to be really enjoying soccer this season. At the end of last season (Spring '08) he seemed to lose a bit of interest, wasn't staying focused as much during the scrimmages as he had in Fall '07. This time around, though, he's working hard and learning... and having FUN!

I just really liked this one. :)
Janie was doing great this season despite breaking her arm in early August. She was able to play with the cast and had an AWESOME game on 9/20. She was all over the ball - fighting to keep control of it, had some great passes, etc. She hasn't always been the most aggressive player, so seeing this was great. She had a blast and gained a lot of confidence.
On 9/23 she had her cast removed and hasn't been able to play since. She has to regain full range of motion before her doc will allow her to play or practice. She has a great attitude about it. She says she'll still have her newly found mojo when she can play again.
So, in the mean time she's cheering on her team and keeping players company as they rotate out of the game.
She's doing a lot of just looking cute, too.
