PT Update

Janie had her physical therapy evaluation on Friday, October 24th.

We met with Bill who evaluated her range of motion and put her through some stretches. She's going to visit the office 2x a week for two weeks, then 1x a week for two weeks for intensive therapy sessions. Mark and I will help her do some home exercises 3x a day.

She has been given a splint to wear at night, which will hold her arm in an out-stretched position. What you see below is about as far as she can stretch it out. I think the splint will be reshaped each visit to keep pushing her a bit on straightening it out completely.

She had her first follow-up this past Monday. Bill worked her pretty hard, asking her to count backwards by 2's and 5's during the stretching. It is uncomfortable, but she handles it well. Hopefully, this round of PT will be it.
