I must...

... get back to posting about everyday things, that was the whole idea behind this blog. I'm not supposed to take weeks long breaks, am I? I didn't think so. I'm going to start anew today. So here goes...

I'm going to have to back track a bit because I went out with four of my girlfriends last night. I love these girls. Our daughters play soccer together, have for a few years now. Brenda, Kim, Leah, Lisa & myself. It was really fun, silly fun. We went out to celebrate the wonderful success Brenda has had with getting in shape over the summer. She has lost a total of 53 lbs since March. She has done an awesome job & is very inspiring to the rest of us. I have a great photo that was taken of the five of us last night before heading out. I'll post it after I have everyone's ok.

When I got home last night around midnight I found Janie asleep on the floor, Jacob & Mark were out on the couch. It was so cute &, well... very uncomfortable looking. I took Jacob upstairs & then piddled around for a little bit. I finally got Janie up & in her room around 12:45a. I checked her blood sugar as I always do before bed, she was running a bit low, so had to wake her for a snack. It is usually very hard to wake her up for after bed snacks when needed. It usually takes me 10 minutes to get her lucid enough for her to chew & drink. It is so frustrating. Luckily last night she was awake from coming upstairs, so it went pretty smoothly.

Skip to 7:00a this morning, Jacob & Puchu (story to follow) were both after me to get up. Waaaa. I got up, did breakfast for the kids & the dog, cleaned the kitchen & strong-armed the kids into picking up the living & family rooms. I made the mistake of laying down for a minute at 10:30. I woke up at 1:00p.

Janie was able to take her first shower in fours week today (story to follow). That was the highlight of my day. I was so happy for her to be able to actually bathe & not be drowned in the sink as I tried to wash her hair. No more foot baths to beat the stinky feet, and no more arm pit rub downs. Yay!

Choir started this afternoon, 4:00 - 5:30. This is Janie's 5th time doing choir at our church. She adores it, is always so excited to get the cd & start learning the songs they'll perform in early December.

We picked up a pizza on the way home. After dinner Janie & I took Puchu out for a long walk while Mark & Jacob got ready for bed & watched Bugs Bunny cartoons. :) The walk was so nice. It's getting cool, the wind was up & Janie was bouncing along with Puchu, just having a glorious time - doing the simplest of things.

The kids are in bed now. I'm going to blog a bit more, prob edit some photos, check J's BS & then go to bed. Good night, all!
